Haha Collins has been superb this season, that post below meant to say our best cb this season not in general. On the ball he aint the best but in terms of a solid defender he has been outstanding. Was my motm vs Leicester few weeks back, and remember him being very good in the City win and Swansea away

Creswell has been terrific. I said we should buy him and I'm glad we did. With Jenkinson in too our fullbacks look great, but I wish we had different tactics and created proper overlaps. Ahhh well.

I share you thoughts Fivetide. I'm gutted when Sakho is missing as his all round game is so impressive.

However, had Cresswell missed games and Joey O'Brien had been the alternative I think you'd have been yearning for Cresswell to return even more!!!

Re: Hammer of the year
Odd to say given our performances in 2015, but half our team are excellent players that are fully committed every game. it's the same half dozen most have mentioned on here.

As for HOTY, it depends how you judge it. Kouyate, Collins, Noble, Cresswell and Jenkins work hardest, and Kouyate and the fullbacks in particular have been revelations in their first seasons with us.

However the lad that has got me off my seat with a massive grin on face most often has been Sakho. I love his goals, his all-round contribution, his attitude and his commitment to a new club. He is my HOTY because he is the one that most disappoints me when he is missing from the starting line-up. I think he's going to be a cracking player for us.

What this thread also reveals is that with some squad retention, the right game plan and a half dozen new players, we could have a proper team/squad on our hands.

Rossal,

I assume that you're on a fishing trip with regards to Ginge. He's done ok this season but has been our 5th best defender, which is exactly what he is. He's back up at best.

Collins is seriously being mentioned by people?

He has done ok by his standards - but his standards are low. He really isn't a very good footballer.

Cresswell is standout number 1

Kouyate well deserved 2nd

Sakho for his pre xmas goals in 3rd before the fat slob changed things and ruined everyones season
